When I first sat down to write Echoes of Truth, I thought I was writing a simple love song. But the longer I spent with the melody, the more it pulled me toward a truth I hadn't anticipated.For years, I believed peace was something I had to hunt for outside myself—something earned, found, or given by someone else. Looking back, I realize that wasn't true at all. The people who brought light into my life didn't change who I was; they gently reminded me of who I had been all along.By the time I reached the final verse, the song had quietly transformed. The closing lines almost wrote themselves:"Maybe love was always with me...
Maybe you were just the echo of the truth I held inside."I don't feel the need to pin down an exact definition for those words. Writing this song taught me that the deepest things we search for aren't lost—they are simply waiting to be remembered.My hope is that when you listen, you find whatever reflection you need most right now.Thank you for sharing this quiet moment with me.— Steve

How I Bring the Songs to Life
A note about the production of my music
My songs begin with me. I write the lyrics, create the melodies and develop each song from my own ideas and experiences.For quite a while, I have been working with Suno as a production tool, using my own voice and guitar recordings as the foundation.I use detailed prompts, my original recordings and Suno's audio controls to develop the backing, instrumentation and overall production around the songs I have written.This takes experimentation, judgement and a great deal of listening—choosing what works, rejecting what doesn't, and shaping the final recording.The technology helps me achieve a level of production that would otherwise require a professional studio and musicians, but the songs themselves—their words, melodies, ideas and emotional intent—come from me.I hope you enjoySteve
